Family Resource Center

At the Family Resource Center (FRC) of Sheboygan County, our mission is: Building Strong Families and Strong Communities.

To help us meet this mission, we provide two programs that support individuals and families through the Literacy Council and Parents as Teachers home visiting program.

Literacy Council Program

The Literacy Council helps adults who want to read, write, and speak English better so they can achieve their goals for work, education, family life, and community involvement.

Our caring, patient volunteer tutors provide free one-on-one tutoring for motivated adult learners across Sheboygan County.

The Literacy Council is a member of Wisconsin Literacy and ProLiteracy.

Parents as Teachers Program

Being a parent can be an unbelievably wonderful and challenging experience. As a parent, you are your child's first teacher and your child was born to learn!

The Parents as Teachers home visiting program is an evidence-based early childhood home visiting program, provided by certified educators that are dedicated to supporting your family through parent-child interaction, understanding child development and connecting you to community resources.

Contact The Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County and find out how the Parents as Teachers program can help support you and your family.
