Welcome back after a long holiday weekend. It was kind of a gloomy weekend, but there were plenty of festivities to keep everything bright. My family had a lot of stops yesterday, each with an egg hunt and basket. It was so much fun getting to watch him and all his cousins running around looking for those eggs. It was even more fun to watch the older kids helping the younger kids, the kids sharing and trading their treats, and just generally being very respectful young people. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of screaming and a few tufts broke out, but when you have 4 boys under 10 it’s fine as long as no one starts bleeding! Anyway, I hope you had a nice Holiday as well.
Now that we’re back at it, I’ve got a couple of things for you. First, I have an announcement regarding Open Air Club’s 2024 season. We have decided that Generations will not be hosting any of the Open Air Club outings this year. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be outings! Uptown Social has graciously opened their Open Air Club to Generations members. If you joined this club in the past and want to find out more about this season’s outings, please contact Audrey Sager. You can reach her at (920) 918-8769.
Also, I wanted to mention one more time that we are looking for people who are be interested in starting a 500 Rummy card playing group at Generations. If enough people are interested, we will look at scheduling a first meeting to discuss times, days, how often we want to meet, and so on. So, if this sounds like something you would like to join, please let me know! We are always open to new things, we just want to make sure it’s the kinds of things you want.
Here’s what we have coming up. Check out April 9th…it’s going to be a crazy day!
