Well, I am again writing to you on a Friday. The same Friday as last time, in fact. I’m not at Generations today but I am back home. Our flight came in yesterday afternoon but, between jet lag, a verifiable mountain of laundry, and missing my little boy, I needed one extra day to settle in. I’m even calling Jacob in sick to school today so we can all be together after a week apart. I don’t have any details on the trip for you, because as I’m writing this I haven’t left yet, but I’m sure I’ll have tons of stories to share when I’m back in the office tomorrow.
I don’t have a ton of notes for you today, but there are two worth mentioning. First, it’s that time of year where we start thinking about gardening. At least, we can start planning to think about gardening! As you may know, we have several raised garden beds next to the patio that is open for our members to use. However, we do ask that people sign up to use the plots. Normally, they are claimed pretty early in the year, but this year we have 2 beds available. Both are 8’ X 3’ in size. These plots are available on a first-come-first-served basis, but please keep in mind the responsibility that comes along with the plot. If you claim it, you are also responsible to weed both in the garden bed and the areas surrounding it. If interested, please contact Dick Fellenz at (920) 893-0071.
On another plant-related note, Kendall was tending to the plant in the Gathering Room and has found it really needs a new planter. If anyone has a spare pot that’s just collecting dust, let us know! We would also need some extra dirt for when Kendall re-pots it. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Kendall for details.
