Good morning everyone! I have a lot of notes for you today, so I will keep this as short as I can. I’ll start with reminding you all that Sunshine on the Street is this week! If you’ve never been, you should really check it out. It’s heartwarming to see so many from the community come out for no other reason than to bring some extra smiles to the world. To prepare for the event, we will be making our signs on March 12th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the art room, joined by the kiddos from Jungle Cubs. Whether you'd like to assist the kids or create your own sign, we welcome all members to come and join the fun! If you’re interested in checking it out before the big day, watch this video by TMJ4: https://www.tmj4.com/news/local-news/sunshine-on-the-street-spreads-encouragement-and-love-in-plymouth
I also have a few fitness-related news to share with you today. First, you may have already known that we launched a Parkinson’s Fitness class, but starting this month, we are also launching a support group. The first meeting will be this week Friday, the 15th immediately after the fitness class. Parkinson’s is a challenging disease, but you don’t have to do it alone. And if you’re a caregiver, you are invited to join too. Healthy Living is about more than work outs, it’s about taking care of the whole person, and support groups are a great way to do that. Contact Emily (enelson@generationsic.org) if you have questions.
And in other Healthy Living News, you will be seeing some new faces around Generations. Two new faces, in fact. First, Erika joined Emily a couple of weeks ago. She has mostly been stuck in the office doing trainings, but as of last week, she has started teaching some classes. It has been going great so far and everyone has been enjoying the new energy in class. Second, Sydney will be joining the team as well, with her first official day being today! Sydney will help fill in here and there for our regular classes, but primarily she will be bringing some new classes to Generations. Specifically, DANCE CLASSES!! There will be a few to pick from, ranging from Chair Dance to high-end cardio dance work outs. We don’t have all the details on this quite yet, so keep an eye out for a flyer announcing more on the dance classes. It’s a great time to be at Generations!
Wow, that was a lot, and I’m not quite done yet. But let’s look at the upcoming event before I give you a couple more notes.

As promised, I have a couple more notes before I’m done this morning.
First, I want to remind all our Pickleball players that City Hall is closed to Pickleball this week. They are installing new lighting and need the space clear. Normal hours of play will start back up next week.
I also want to make a couple of quick comments on the parking lot. We are still seeing cars here and there with their front end hanging over the walk ways. We need to keep the walk ways clear for safety reasons. If someone has a walker or wheel chair, they may not be able to use the sidewalk if half of it is being covered up by a car. We’re also seeing in increase of people parking too close to, or over, the parking spot lines. Parking is at a premium during busy times and we really don’t want one car taking up two spots. So, if you get out of your car and notice you’re too close to/over the line OR you see the front end of your vehicle is hanging over the sidewalk, please return to your car and re-park. It only takes a minute and it will make the parking lot more accessible to everyone.
Alright, that’s enough for today. My goodness, that was long. I feel like, if you made it this far, you deserve a medal! Anyway, have a great week and talk to you again next time.
