Happy Tuesday-that-feels-like-a-Monday Everyone!!

I hope you all had a nice, long weekend! It was gorgeous out, wasn’t it? It was so nice getting out into the garden, listening to the kids running around like crazy people, and to have every window in the house open. Even the pets get extra sparky with the nice weather. My cats in particular were thrilled to fight over one specific window, even though either of them could have gone to any other window. But where’s the fun in that?

Anyway, I’ve got a lot for you today, starting with announcing the winner of last week’s flash donor drive. Congratulations to Jean S. for donating within the time frame and winning a free 1-year membership! We will be doing more things like this in the future so keep your eyes open for the next opportunity to support Generations and win!

Next, I want to let you all know that registration is officially open for our 11th Annual Golf Scramble and Walk Fundraiser! If you’ve joined us in the past, you know how fun of an event this one is. If you’ve never golfed or walked for this event before, this is the perfect year to start! You can register online by visiting www.generationsic.org and clicking on the Golf Scramble flyer, or you can pop in the office and sign up in person. See the attached flyer for more info.

Lastly, before getting into the nitty-gritty of the next two weeks, I wanted to let you all know that the Cornhole League is set to start up again on June 13th. Like last summer, we will play outside when we can but otherwise an indoor space will be available if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Start time will be 2pm. Call or stop in the office to sign up.

Alright, let’s get to the upcoming events now!!

Tuesday, May 30th, 1:30pm – Tech Help Series Join Spencer for the second installment of his Tech Help Series. This series focuses specifically on iPhones and Apple products. The class is limited to only 15 guests and we have 12 so far. If anyone wants one of those last 3 spots, let us know ASAP!

Friday, June 2nd, 11:00am – Fireside Chat with Greg We are holding another general discussion with our Executive Director, Greg. Similar to last time, he will have a few things to bring up to you all, but then the floor is yours! Ask questions, get clarification, make suggestions, or whatever comes to mind. We look forward to a friendly and informative discussion. Let us know if you plan to come so we have enough chairs set out.

I also want to let you know that there will be a Pickleball 101 class offered at Generations on June 13th. Led by Tyler Hau, this 2-hour class will be all about the basics and how you can get into the sport. Two time slots are available. Please call, text, or email Tyler if you’re interested. His contact information is on the attached flyer.

Last but not least, I wanted to issue a minor correction to last week’s email. I was so excited to tell you all about June’s Supper Club with Pic A Deli that I completely forgot to tell you all how much it’s going to cost! Regardless of which meal choice you go with, dinner will be $25 per person. I have an updated flyer attached here with the price as well. Sorry about that!!

That should do it for today. Have a great week, everyone!
