I’m sorry I’m a little late getting this email out today. It’s been a crazy morning! On Saturday, we hosted Random Lake High School’s Prom. It was a great night (Joa has pictures if anyone wants to see) and the kids had a great time. But there was a lot of rearranging to do this morning. So, I write to you a little sweaty, having gotten my morning work out in!
Anyway, we are really excited around here because tomorrow is our 2nd ever Aging with Style Senior Expo! We had a great turn out last year and hope to have just as good, or better, this year. There are more details below, but this is a great opportunity to meet with experts in our area on a variety of topics and resources for the Senior community. It’s supposed to be pretty rainy tomorrow, so it will be the perfect day to stay inside and have fun with us!
Also, I know it’s early, but it is not too early to start thinking about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Please consider joining Generations’ Team! While you are welcome to walk with us, you can join our team without walking. We would love to beat our number of team members from last year! The Walk to End Alzheimer's is a nation-wide event held annually in more than 600 communities. It is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support, and research. The event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Typically, the walk is between one to three miles. The Alzheimer's Association hosts the event each year to bring awareness, care, and support for research of this disease. If you are interested in joining our team, or want more information, please reach out to Emily at enelson@generationsic.org or (920) 892-4858 ext 302.
I have a couple more notes for you, but let’s look at what’s coming up first…

As promised, here are a couple more notes…
First, I want to try one last time to see if there is any interest in forming a 500 Rummy card playing group at Generations. So far, we have three people interested, but would like to see a few more. If you are interested please let me know.
And lastly today, I want to thank all of you for helping to make the new Check-In System roll-out a success! There were a couple glitches the first day, which was to be expected, but for the most part, you all did great! I appreciate you all being flexible, open to learning a new system, and positive and upbeat about the experience. Now we just need to all keep up on signing in every time we visit. So, thank you all for helping make this transition as smooth as possible.
Alright, I’m done now. I hope you all have a great week and we’ll talk again next Monday.
